FLINT CREEK WATER PARK HORSE TRAIL, WIGGINS, MISSISSIPPI
CLIENT: PAT HARRSION WATERWAY DISTRICT (PHWD)

Tice Engineering was hired by the Pat Harrison Waterway District to design and oversee construction of an equestrian trail at Flint Creek Water Park. The trail will utilize an existing maintenance road and trails to provide a 12-mile loop around the reservoir. The trail will feature a main trail alignment and several alternate trail options to allow riders to adjust their ride to a desired length. Rest stops and primitive camping areas are spaced along the trail. The trailhead on the east side of the reservoir will feature a 10-stall barn, pull through campsites, and a renovated bath house and pavilion. Additional parking is available south of the trailhead and on the west side of the reservoir.
